- Why doesn’t the priest want Amos speaking in this city? Various answers... He sees Bethel & the temple in it as a 'sanctuary for the king'
- Where did God take Amos from? Tending the flock (as a shepherd), & raising sycamore fig trees
- When the priest kicks Amos out of the city, what penalties will fall on his own family? His wife will become a prostitute; his sons & daughters fall to the sword; he will die in a pagan country
