- On the sheet being passed around: Write your book title & author that you are requesting for the book report
- Meanwhile, answer these questions:
- - 1) Do you believe in a god, no god, or many gods?
- - - If you do believe in God or many gods, explain three major things that you believe about God/them.
- - - If you do not believe in any gods, share three reasons why you do not.
- - 2) What are five other important ‘theological’ beliefs that you believe?
- - - Examples: beliefs about Jesus/Father/Holy Spirit or what God is like, His character, personality, desires, etc.

- - Go to page 4, read the verse (bottom left) & write your personal summary in the top white box
- - Study this verse for Thursday’s quiz (Yes, Thursday!)

- Theology:
- - Greek = ‘Theos-Logos’ (god-knowledge)
- - The study of what we can know about God
- Our Focus: Does God exist? If so, what is God like?
- Related Ideas:
- - Theology is the foundation of anybody’s worldview
- - What you believe about God will affect every other part of your worldview

- Pantheism (Transcendentalism):
- - The belief that everything is spiritual, the physical is either an illusion or temporary deformity
- - Examples: New Age, Hinduism, Buddhism, & Wicca
- Theism:
- - The belief that the physical world was made by a spiritual God; both are real & important.
- - Examples: Judaism, Christianity, & Islam
- Atheism (Naturalism):
- - The belief that everything is physical, there is no spiritual world.
- - Examples: Nihilism, Hedonism, Materialism, & Humanism
