Institution: An organization of people set up for specific purposes inside a society
- - These are usually directed by certain laws or customs
- - The 3 primary institutions of a society are… what?

- - - Government (state)
- - In the Bible, these are ‘God-ordained’ (ordered)
- - Often countries will try to fix their problems (their 'social health') through their institutions
- What are some of the other institutions that we have? 
- - Examples: Banks, Schools, hospitals, police departments, public works (water, power, gas), etc....
